Her headstone is a square of polished black granite with gold lettering. It is the lawn section of Sarina cemetery.There is a crucifix & a posy of flowers to one side.
Her headstone is worded:
In loving memory of our mother, grandmother, great grand mother & great great grandmother.
Laura Ethel (Smyth) McPhee born 28th December 1894 died 7th October 1995 aged 100 years 9 months

In 1894 the Australian Workers Union is formed, two World Wars are fought, newly crowned Queen Elizabeth II toured Australia in 1954, The bicentenary of Australia was celebrated in 1988 & in 1995 Qantas is privatised.
