Crithary's Buildings started its life as Crithary's Tea Rooms being built by Peter Crithary after the original building was burned down. At some stage the name was changed to Central Cafe & this name is still etched into the glass above the door.
Internally there is not much left of the fittings however the ornate pressed metal ceiling, pressed metal verandah awning & lead light inserts in the windows are reminders of the building's Art Deco beginnings.
