THis unusual sign has finger pointers reading THIS WAY, THAT WAY and SOMEWHERE ELSE

I've been unable to find out when it was placed but I did find a couple of references to it in the minutes of the Blackheath Village Society:

  • Thursday 3rd October 2007: "Village Jubilee and “This Way/That Way” signs. A working party needs to be arranged to carry out the necessary work"
  • Wednesday 1st October 2008: "Surrey Highways have confirmed that they have no objection to the “This Way/ That Way” sign post."

Interestingly, it does not appear on Google Streetview, dated 2009

The Geocache GC2PPQK states that "Officialdom removed the post, but there were sufficient complaints about spoiling a bit of light hearted fun that the post was replaced."
