Lincoln Highway drivers crossed San Francisco Bay by ferry from Berkeley to San Francisco Ferry Building, near to where is today Oakland Bay Bridge.
Of course there is also a modern day ferry service at the bay, although the bay ferry service currently does not have a terminal at Berkeley (visit link) . Yet, there are other ferry routes in the area for a similar experience.
