The Beckwith Grand Pavilion is actually two gazebos joined together, each with eight open sides. It is one of two gazebos at the Iowa Arboretum. It is located near the Hughes Educational Building and is the perfect shelter from the rain or place to gather for a special event. It was built by Vixen Hill Gazebos of Elverson, Pennsylvania, sponsored by F. William Beckwith and Leola I. Beckwith, and dedicated on October 3, 2004.
The grounds of the arboretum are open year round from sunrise to sunset, with 100’s of trees, flowers, and shrubs to see, woodland trails to walk, and prairie areas to explore. There is a charge of $5 per car to visit the arboretum.
