Located on 378 acres northwest of Madrid, visitors can spend hours walking through the 100’s of trees, flowers, and shrubs in the main part of the arboretum or choose to explore the woodland trails and prairie walk. Special events and education activities are offered, and the facilities are available for rental for weddings. The grounds are open year round from sunrise to sunset, while the Hughes Education Center is open from 8:30-4:30 from April through October. There is a charge of $5 per car for non-members.
