The original Bank of New South Wales was a wooden building which was destroyed by fire, along with 37 others buildings along the main street, in 1929. Fortunately the majority of insurance claims were finalised before the Great Depression & a new brick bank was built.

The Bank of New South Wales became Westpac & this one has closed & now hosts a computer retailer. The word Bank can be seen above the main entrance.

This building appears on the Coonamble Heritage Walk which can be found on the website listed below.
