An unusual two level circular structure in the center of King's Square contains a fountain at ground level while a bandstand occupies the upper level. A series of diminishing concentric circular disks rise from the center of a large marble basin. A brass nozzle at the center sprays water up in a symmetrical circular pattern. Above, the bandstand features a copper roof and filigree metal framework.
The structure was constructed in 1908. It was given to the City of St. John by the City Coronet Band and dedicated to the memory of King Edward VII. The structure was restored in 2013. A plaque attached to the front is inscribed:
