Proper Description: "A female figure stands barefoot dressed in a long flowing robe and holds a bunch of flowers to her side with her proper left hand. The figure is placed on a multitiered base with inscriptions on all sides. On the front of the base above the inscription there is an eagle atop crossed cannons." ~ Smithsonian American Art Museum

DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH: Listed in St. Peters MO..it is, and always has been, in St. Charles, MO...on the old courthouse lawn where it was erected in 1919.
You show it as being administered by St. Peters, which is also WRONG.
You show it as "Untitled" actual title, as shown in the NRHP listing is "World War I Memorial"
You show location as 3rd St & Jefferson St., in front of courthouse, St. Peters...OK except should be St. Charles 63301
Listing shows the dedication date as Nov. 13, 1920 yet says Armistice Day...which is Nov. 11...dedication should be November 11, 1920 [Dedication photo in Gallery]
