Louella L. Pickett Shewmake was born on 27 May 1906 in Carterville, GA, and passed away over 100.5 years later on 16 November 2006. She had been married to Cecil Shewmake in 1927.

Louella taught in Newton, Barry, McDonald, and Lawrence Counties before retiring. The obituary does not mention when she moved to Garland County, AR, where she passed away; nor whether it was before or after her husband passed away in 1988.
