The Tipton County Time Capsule was buried in May of 1994 as part of the Tipton County Sesquicentennial Celebration. It is located on the north lawn of the county courthouse along side the county veterans memorial. The intention is to open the time capsule as part of the county's bicentennial celebration in 2044. The time capsule commemorates the 150 years since the establishment of Tipton County, Indiana.
