This benchmark is a grey metal disk embedded in a canal control point wall at the intersection of the Eastern canal and Southern Ave. in Mesa, Arizona. The canal, at this point, has a flow control dam and the benchmark is located on the western wall just north of Southern Ave. In an arc across the top of the disk are the words SALT RIVER PROJECT. Below that, in a straight line is engraved 32.8 E followed by 1.0 N. At the bottom of the disk is written 1993 and BM.
The benchmark is approximately 56 feet north of the northern curb of Southern Ave. on the top of the wall along the western canal bank.
