First Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church, established in 1892 just after the Land Run that opened this part of the Territory for settlement. This building was built in 1948. The church is a two-story buff-colored brick church, with an exposed basement. The sanctuary faces East and has a two-story facade, with a 16-step staircase. Above the entry doors the concrete is engraved FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH.
This is an active fellowship with services and Sunday School on Sunday mornings, as well as home life groups twice a month. On Wednesday, there are activities for youth, teens and adults. The church is active in mission work and working to plant a church in Ecuador.
