The Church of St. Elisabeth (Kosciól sw. Elzbiety) is in the same time the Sanctuary of Mother of God Yearning (Sanktuarium Matki Bozej Teskniacej).
The wooden church in the same place was built already in XIV century, and it was burnt during the Swedish invasion. The stone church was first built in year 1725. In years 1803-15 the parson of the church was Jan Pawel Woronicz, the forthcoming primate of Polish Kingdom.
The church was getting too small for the growing parish, and in the year 1889 it was expanded on the initiative of hr. Alexandra Potocka. The last expansion was made in year 1921 - then the church has got the actual design.
