The box is in excellent decoratvie order but it is, afterall, a replica. The red post box has decorative parts picked-out in gold - very effective! The plate on the base of the post box dates it as 1988.

The box is in Harrow-on-the-Hill High Street so there are many uniformed schoolboys wandering around this very pleasant location.
