Long Description:
The Medicine Hat equatorial sundial was commissioned by the Rotary
Club of Medicine Hat to commemorate its 50th anniversary
(1918-1968). The sundial was designed and produced by the Sundial
Division of Erickson Memorial Company, Denver, Colorado, and
installed at the Medicine Hat Museum and Art Gallery on Tuesday, 03
June 1969. The sundial was moved to its current location in front
of the Medicine Hat City Hall building sometime during the 1980s
(there is no record of the exact date the sundial was moved).
