Water Mark is a series of five aluminum horses that are part of a flood control project on Indian Bend Wash in Scottsdale, Arizona. When Indian Bend floods in a heavy rain, water will pour out of the horses mouths. The horses are 14 feet high and spaced 125 feet apart. They are lit with yellow lights from the west side and blue lights from the east. They also recall the McCormick Arabian Ranch, once adjacent to the site. Downstream from the horses, a series of earthworks creatively channel water, slowing floods and controlling damage .
