The Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona began as a mission in 1908. The Franciscan Fathers at St. Mary's Church in Phoenix established Sacred Heart Mission on the corner of Second Street and Country Club Drive in Mesa, Arizona, in 1908.It became the Sacred Heart Parish in 1934. It was relocated and named the Queen of Peace Parish in 1947. The current building dates to 1948. the church complex includes the parish church and a grade school.
