Le sanctuaire du Saint-Sacrement est un bâtiment conventuel éclectique construit au tournant du XXe siècle. L'édifice en pierre présente un plan en « T » et comprend quatre parties : à l'arrière-plan, la chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Très-Saint-Sacrement, d'inspiration néo-romane; à l'avant-plan, la partie centrale (ancien monastère) formant un ressaut ainsi que deux ailes latérales, de style Second Empire. La chapelle (1892-1984), de plan rectangulaire, comporte une abside en hémicycle entourée d'une sacristie rectangulaire. La partie centrale (1893) et les ailes, aussi de plan rectangulaire, comptent quatre étages incluant le toit mansardé. L'aile ouest (1896) et l'aile est (1907) sont semblables, mais cette dernière fait trois travées de plus. Le sanctuaire du Saint-Sacrement est situé en milieu urbain, au coeur de l'arrondissement municipal du Plateau-Mont-Royal de la ville de Montréal.
Ce bien est classé immeuble patrimonial. La protection s'applique à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur de la partie centrale et de la chapelle, mais seule l'enveloppe extérieure des ailes est protégée. Le sanctuaire du Saint-Sacrement bénéficie d'une aire de protection.

The Sanctuary of the Blessed Sacrament is an eclectic convent building built at the turn of the twentieth century. The stone building has a plan in "T" and includes four parts: the background, the chapel of Our Lady of the Most Holy Sacrament, neo-Romanesque style; in the foreground, the middle part (monastery) forming a projection and two side wings, the Second Empire style. The chapel (1892-1984), a rectangular plan, has a semicircular apse surrounded by a rectangular sacristy. The central part (1893) and wings, also rectangular, have four floors including the mansard roof. The West Wing (1896) and the east wing (1907) are similar, but the latter is three spans more. The Sanctuary of the Blessed Sacrament is located in urban areas, in the heart of the municipal borough of Plateau-Mont-Royal of Montreal.
This property is classified heritage building. The protection applies to the outside and inside of the central part and the chapel, but only the outer shell of the wings is protected. The Sanctuary of the Blessed Sacrament has a protection area.
