[DE] Die Burg Eltz ist eine der bekanntesten und ältesten Burgen in Deutschland. Ihr Bau datiert auf das 12 Jahrhundert zurück.
Die Burg ist auch heute noch völlig intakt, bewirtschaftet und kann besichtigt werden.
Die Burg war früher - leicht stilisiert - auf der 40 Pfenning Briefmarke der deutschen Post abgebildet.

[EN] The castle of Eltz is one of the most famous and well-known castles of Germany. The building of the castle dates back to the 12th century. The castle is today still in excellent shape and completely intact as well as open to the public for visits.
A (slightly stylized) picture was shown on the former 40 Pfenning (= 0.40 German Marks) stamp of the German mail service.
