The Capel War Memorial was originally erected in memory of those who served in the Great War and was unveiled by Lieutenant Colonel Brazier on the 25th April 1920.
The Memorial now commemorates Australian servicemen and women who have served in all wars and conflicts. The memorial is a three tiered granite plinth with a stone obelisk is situated on top .
The names of those who served in WW1 are engraved on a plaque on one side of the obelisk and those who fell in WW2 on the opposite side
