This one story, north oriented building is a part of the Luhrs commercial block in downtown Phoenix. Arriving in Phoenix, Arizona in 1882, George H.N.Luhrs purchased a commercial block in central Phoenix and operated the city stables and corral. As Phoenix boomed he developed a hotel, post office and commercial buildings on the site. The Post Office Station links the Luhrs Building to the east and the Luhrs Tower to the west. Construction would have finished in the early 1920's. The building is of concrete and red brick.
