Memorial for Jane Addams recognizing her early work with the poor and leader in the women’s suffrage and pacifist movements. Memorial is located along the Points of Light Volunteer Pathway in Downtown Washington, DC.

The memorial consists of a bronze disk embedded in the sidewalk with a relief of Jane Addams and the following text:

HOUSE IN CHICAGO, ONE OF THE NATION'S FIRST SETTLEMENT HOUSES.

THE POOR AND ITS SUCCESS HELPED LEAD
TO THE CREATION OF HUNDREDS OF SIMILAR
ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITIES ACROSS
THE COUNTRY. AN ACTIVE REFORMER
THROUGHOUT HER CAREER, JANE ADDAMS
WAS A LEADER IN THE WOMAN'S SUFFRAGE
AND PACIFIST MOVEMENTS AND A RECIPIENT
OF THE 1931 NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.
