Built in 1828, the single-arch stone bridge on Bridgewater Road carried the National Road.

The S-Bridge is a single arch structure with stones laid in an irregular ashlar fashion. It is about 185 feet long and rises about 18 feet from the waterline. The bridge traverses a rippling brook called Salt Fork. This bridge was part of the National Road, old Route 40.

Today the bridge is closed and only available for pedestrians.
