On asking a member of this church I found out that this is a 'work in progress', as at January 2014. And that he had attended a retreat there.

The monastery is set on 5 lots of land, comprising 350 acres. The unimproved land was purchased in 1993. It was dedicated on Sunday 7th June, 2009, and officially canonised in July 2009. "On 8 August 2009, His Grace Bishop Daniel was enthroned as the first ever Bishop and Abbot of St Shenouda's Coptic Orthodox Monastery in Sydney."
