"1812 wird diese Windmühle erbaut. 1865 erwirbt Johann Bernard Menke die Mühle mit dem Müllerhaus von den drei Besitzern Siebing, Arntzen und Föcking. 1869 wurde in die Windmühle ein Sägegatter eingebaut, das auch mit Windkraft betrieben wird. Die Unabhängigkeit von der Windkraft für das Sägegatter wird mit dem Kauf einer Dampfmaschine 1876 erreicht. 1924 erhält die Mühle und auch das Wohnhaus die erste Versorgung mit Elektroenergie durch eine Gleichstrom – Batterieanlage. Bernhard Menke tritt nun in die Fußstapfen seines Vaters. 1951 erfolgt die Umstellung des Antriebes von Dampfkraft auf Dieselantriebe."

1812 this windmill is built. 1865 Johann Bernard Menke acquires the mill with the miller's house from the three owners Siebing, Arntzen and Föcking. 1869 a saw frame was built into the windmill, which is operated by wind power. The independence from the wind power for the saw frame is achieved with the purchase of a steam engine in 1876.
