UPDATE: It was reported in March 2022 that this church is gone. The congregation has built a new building on S. 18th. This location is now a Casey's service station.
Kingfisher First United Methodist Church meets in a beautiful old building which dates to 1917. This is a dark red brick building which is two stories, plus an exposed basement. On the East facing Main Street, the main entrance is accessed by a wide 13-step stairway with brick end walls. Double doors lead into the sanctuary. The entrance is a projected section of the building on both levels. The projection has brick columns at each side, topped with stone caps. At the roofline, the projection has a stepped parapet beneath which is a stone cross and stone panel engraved METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH.
The windows throughout are single-hung with stone sills, each filled with stained glass. A heavy wood cornice wraps around the building, except for the projected entrance. Ont he south side is a slightly projected secondary entrance. There is a stone foundation at ground level, and a stone belt course between the basement and first floor.
The cornerstone is located on the northeast corner of the church and reads: "FIRST M.E. CHURCH 1917".
