It is situated in the Memorial Park which also has memorials to other wars. Built of sandstone with marble plaques on which are listed those who served & those who died. In the centre is an obelisk with the insignia of the Australian Infantry Force & an upturned rifle on a wreath. Cannons are placed either side.

The memorial was unveiled on the 11th November 1921 by General J.C. Robertson. General Robertson then asked the mothers of the fallen to unveil the memorial. Amid an impressive silence the mothers pulled a ribbon and the draping flags fell to the ground.
