"What was the original Pacific Fruit Express?
It was once the largest refrigerated car company in the world. The cars brought fruit from California to the rest of the country between 1907 and 1978.
What fruit went on the trains?
The Pacific Fruit Express carried fresh cherries, apricots, peaches, and pears. Around San Jose, there were also many fruit dying operations."
