The plaque says, "Dedicated in memory of H. Dale Robertson 1939 -1987. Terminal Superintendent Barstow Classification Yard Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway 1981-1987. A man who unselfishly gave much of himself to his community. City of Barstow - 1988".
