The town hall of Weil am Rhein and the freestanding clock tower were built 1964.
The clock has no numbers on it, the color of the face is white, the hands are black. The clock is mounted on three high poles arranged in a narrow triangle, that represents the location of the town in the border triangle where Germany, France and Switzerland meet.
