EN: The Lutheran Church of St. John of Weil am Rhein is located a few steps east of the City Hall.
The church had been planned as early as 1938, but the construction was not executed because of the outbreak of the war. Construction was begun in 1955, not after the original plans by Bartning, but after new ones, designed by Martin Hasselbacher. The stained glass windows were designed by Harry MacLean. On 1 July 1956, it was inaugurated.
The church has a rectangular main building with an annex and a freestanding bell tower.

Die Kirche war schon 1938 geplant worden, der Bau kam aber wegen des Krieges nicht zur Ausführung. Der Baubeginn war dann 1955, nicht nach den urprünglichen Plänen von Bartning, sondern nach einem neuen Entwurf von Martin Hasselbacher. Die Glasfenster wurden von Harry MacLean gestaltet. Am 1. Juli 1956 wurde sie geweiht.
Die Kirche besteht aus einem rechteckigen Hauptbau mit einem Nebengebäude und einem freistehenden Glockenturm.
