The Friends Burial Ground contains the Salem Oak Tree. The ground was also the site of two early meeting houses - a log structure from the seventeenth century and a larger brick structure from the eighteenth century. Both structures were abandoned when the present Hicksite Meeting House at 200 East Broadway was constructed in 1772.
