The Sherbrooke is a fine example of the nautical Art Deco style. It was designed by the firm of MacKay and Gibbs and constructed in 1947. The hotel is white with red and blue trim. It features a rounded front corner and porthole windows suggest a large barge. The corner parapet gives it the appearance of a taller building.
The hotel has been meticulously restored to it's historic appearance and, in 2004, it received the Barbara Baer Capitman Award For Excellence in Historic Preservation.
