Austere in design it never the less has an unusual architectural feature of a portico over the entrance from which the priest could address his following or raise the flags on important national days. This feature was no doubt put to good use over the years of the Second World War. The foundation stone is of marble & placed at the front of the church.

Full inscription:
To the glory of God this stone was laid by the Right Reverend Arnold Lomas Wylde M.A. Lord Bishop of Bathurst on the 21st October 1938.
