This two-sided marker has what appears to be small leaves as decoration around the perimeter on both sides. On the front, on the plinth, is the family name, "Blair", and above it is the following inscription:

Blair
Born Aug. 13, 1845,
Departed this life
Mar. 8, 1880
We only know that
thou hast gone
and that the same
relentless tide
which bore thee from
us, still glides on,
and we who mourn thee
with it glide.
On the reverse is a cross, wrapped in roses, with "1883" on the plinth, presumably the year this headstone was placed. Note "Monumental Bronze Co. Bridgeport Ct." on the base.
