I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1919 in good condition. It is monumented at the top of a staircase on the NW side of the Midtown Station of the U.S. Post Office. The NGS datasheet is adequate for station recovery. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

AT CHICO, BUTTE COUNTY, AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BROADWAY AND FIFTH STREETS, AT THE POST OFFICE BUILDING, ON THE LEFT-HAND SIDE OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE, IN THE HORIZONTAL LIMESTONE SURFACE OF THE INCLINED BALUSTRADE, AND ABOUT 4 FEET HIGHER THAN THE GROUND.
