This is a large, beautifully designed war memorial in Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery.

Rest Haven Cemetery is a large, well maintained area with over 10,800 burials. There are numerous monuments and sculptures throughout the cemetery.
This memorial is a large endeavor, sponsored by several veterans groups, businesses and individuals in the Shawnee area. A wide concrete path leads to a circular patio. A granite wall, which appears to be a mausoleum for ashes, has spaces for 18 urns, and currently has 13 bronze plaques. Two stone benches flank this area.
Behind this, are twelve tall granite slabs on which an estimated 2500 names of veterans are engraved. Above the center four slabs is a horizontal beam with engravings of the seals of the five branches of the military. At the base of the center slabs is the dedication: "Dedicated to those who served for the cause".
