Three-nave Romanesque pillar basilica dating back to 1073 and home of the Discalced Carmelites.
Above the church of St. Nicholas the Collegiate Church of Our Lady in distress is located. The Sisters of the Order commit to a rigorous examination. The Collegiate Church was founded in 1073 in Stoppenberg of the abbess Schwanhilde and inaugurated in 1074 as Nikolauskapelle.

In the 12th century Premonstratensian founded a double monastery, which was later used only as a nunnery .
The three-nave Romanesque pillar basilica built of Ruhrsandbruchstein essentially shows the state after a remodeling of 1241. Worth seeing : The baptismal font from the 12th century.
