NGS 'CHICO 1939 NO. 5 1978' Reference Mark - Chico, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this National Geodetic Survey reference mark from 1978 in good condition. It is a brass disk monumented on top of the south curb of Vallombrosa Ave, flush with the surface and about 20 feet north of triangulation station 'CHICO RESET' link to it here. This reference mark is part of the CHICO RESET series of marks but does not show up in the NGS database. This mark obviously replaces Reference Marks 3 and 4 which were destroyed due to the widening of this road. My posted coordinates should place you very close to this mark.
