This very historic small cemetery is located at East College Avenue & South Third Street. My guess is that there are a lot of unmarked and missing headstones. I estimate that there are 100 marked graves remaining. Coordinates taken from the Southwestern sidewalk.
Established during the 1820s, Pioneer Cemetery in Batesville (pop. 10,248) is the oldest recognized and preserved cemetery in the state.
