Plocha krajina jizne od Brna je soucasti dyjskosvrateckeho uvalu, evropsky vyznamné hranice mezi dvemi vyvojem zcela odlisnymi geologickymi soustavami: Ceskym masivem na zapade a teprve v tretihorach vyvrasnenymi zapadnimi Karpatami na vychode. K Ceskemu masivu patri okraje Ceskomoravské vrchoviny, pocinaje kopci s brnenskymi dominantami - Petrovem a Spilberkem a pokracujici hrbety Bobravské vrchoviny na obzoru dále na západ. Z karpatskych pohori vystupuji nejnapadnejsi Pavlovské vrchy a ploché vyvýseniny na vychod od nich. Ze stanoviste nad lomem byva patrna Velká Javorina v bílých Karpatech, Velká Vysoka v Malych Karpatech a vyjimecne i Schneeberg v alpách.

Land area south of Brno is part Dyjskosvrateckého valley, a significant European boundary between the two development of an entirely different geological systems: the Bohemian Massif in the west, and only in the Tertiary vyvrasnenymi Western Carpathians in the east. The Bohemian Massif belongs edge of the highlands, beginning with a hill dominating Brno - Petrov and Spilberkem and continued Bobravská highland ridges on the horizon to the west. From the Carpathians to ascend the most noticeable Pavlov Hills and flat ridge east of them. From a location above the quarry is noticeable Great White Carpathians Javorina at United High in Little Carpathians and exceptionally well Schneeberg in the Alps.
