Founded on June 19, 1873
"Welcome to Village of Whitney Point Fire Department. In 1873 the Whitney's Point Fire Department was organized. The department consisted of the Nioga hose and steam company and S.E. Birdsall chemical company. In 1934 both companies were disband and began operating as the Whitney Point Fire Department. Today the department consists of 25 volunteer members that protect the Village of Whitney Point and parts of the towns of Triangle and Barker. The members answer over three hundred alarms per year. "
