The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Nicholas is a listed church building in Stoppenberg , a district of Essen (Nordrhein-Westfalen ).
The Three-aisled building of red sandstone was built from 1906 to 1907 according to plans by Carl Moritz(* 27. April 1863 in Berlin; † 23. August 1944 in Berg (Starnberger See)) at the basis of the ancient church hill.
On the plaque is to read that this church is attributed to the Art Nouveau.
Laying of the foundation stone: 7/1/1906.
The consecration took place on 10/17/1907 by Antonius II. Kardinal Fischer, Erzbischof von Köln.
