The mausoleum appears to be constructed of granite and has a double metal door with grated glass windows. There are two pillars, one on each side of the door. The name Russell is located above the doorway, and etched into the granite on either side of the name is a decorative flower design. The stained glass window is on the mausoleum's back wall.
The 80-acre Oaklawn Cemetery is one of the oldest and most well maintained cemeteries in Northeast Florida.
