The mausoleum appears to be constructed of granite and has a double metal door with grated glass windows. There are two pillars, one on each side of the door. The name Russell is located above the doorway, and etched into the granite on either side of the name is a decorative flower design. There is a stained glass window on the mausoleum's back wall.
The 80-acre Oaklawn Cemetery is one of the oldest and most well maintained cemeteries in Northeast Florida.
History:
The mausoleum is the final resting place for members of the Russell family. There appear to be eight vaults within the mausoleum; however, only five of the eight vaults have inscriptions on their faces (which could not be made out because of glare from the door windows).
Visiting Hours/Restrictions:
The cemetery gates are open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, 365 days a year.
