Evangelische Thomaskirche is located in the district of Essen called Stoppenberg. It is situated beside Barbarossaplatz (Market place).
Thomaskirche was built in New Gothic style. The inauguration took place in the year 1900.
The church lost its tall steeple in World War II.
This clocks - there are four of them - are decorating the bell tower of the church. The face of the clock is black and the Roman numerals and the hands are of golden colour.
