These "dinosaurs" roamed around the Naracoorte area.

The massive Diprotodon optatum was the largest marsupial in Australia.
It roamed during the Pliocene Epoch, and was almost 4m in length.
It was widespread across Australia when the first indigenous people arrived, and became extinct about 25,000 years ago.

This statue is outside the Wonambi Visitor Centre.
