THE PLAQUE

This metal plaque is placed in the middle of the Square attached to a granite fountain that looks like a miniature gazebo.
The plaque rads:

WHAT WAS INAUGURATED

The CAMBEDA SQUARE is a square that connects the old parish church of S. Xoán de Cambeda to the parish cemetery. The square has the same name of the parish which is Cambeda. The square is about 120 meters long and in 2004 was totally renovated, and it was at that the time that this plaque was placed.

The parish of Cambeda is situated in the valley of Vimianzo. It's limited by the north and northeast with the parish of Vimianzo, by the east with the parish of Serramo, by the the south with Baíñas and by the west with Castrelo and Berdoias.


WHO WAS THAT INAUGURATED IT

Salvador Fernández Mored
"Jesus Salvador Fernández Moreda, was born in April 28, 1953 in Foz, he is a galician politician of the PSdeG-PSOE party.
He has a Degree in Economics and in 1973 he joined the PSOE (the political party) and the UXT (a workers union). He was Deputy in the Congress of Deputies from 1979 to 1996, senator from 1996 to 2000, councilor of Corunna since 1987, and president of the Provincial Council for two times, the first from 1989 to 1995 and the second from 2003 to 2011."
