This limestone house was one of two built by Colonel Ronald Slidell MacKenzie, Commander of Fort Sill, following the War with the Comanche Nation of 1874-1875. Only this one remains. The house was built for Tsee-aht-sinne-kah (One-feather-pointing-forward), also known as See-i-chin-cah (Straight Feather). The idea was to give the tribes a place to settle and give up the nomadic ways. Esse-toyet was a major Comanche headman who urged this new way of life. the Comanches that were provided this house was the Penateka Band (Honey-Eater).

The house is 18 by 30 feet. It has four doors and four windows. the only things that have been replaced are the shingles, windows, and doors.
